Activities are a special
focus at Rosewood Specialty Care for the Memory
Impaired. A full activity program is designed
to meet the special needs of those with Alzheimer's
and Dementia.
A variety of daily
activities encourage mental stimulation and physical
activity while providing residents an opportunity
to socialize. Residents can choose to participate
in activities such as:
Reminiscing
Music
Reading
Word Games and Math Activities
PetTherapy
Exercise
Twice a week Rosewood Specialty Care staff take residents
on outings. Outings provide an opportunity for residents
to enjoy a change of environment in conditions that
are safe and closely monitored by trained staff. Most
often, residents are taken to nearby destinations,
such as the library. Occasionally, outings may venture
further, such as the Oregon Coast or Columbia River.
