Each full-time resident of Rosewood Specialty Care has
met criteria prior to placement. This criteria includes
a physician's diagnosis of either Alzheimer's or some other
form of dementia. Additionally, an assessment is performed
by the facility’s registered nurse to determine the
appropriate care level. This prescribed care level effects
the cost and the kind of care that will be provided to the
resident.
Involving our families with regular participation in care
planning and implementation enhances the lives of everyone
involved. As a result, we prioritize both ongoing communication
between staff and family members and scheduled time where
the family and the nurse sit down to discuss the resident’s
needs. Scheduled time typically takes the form of quarterly
evaluations—when assessments are performed on each
resident and the staff meets with family members to review
current care needs.
Ultimately, our goal is to take your fears and anxieties
and change them to understanding and acceptance of your
loved one's memory impairment. Knowing that your loved one
is being cared for is perhaps the best peace of mind we
can offer families. We're here to assure time spent with
your loved one is of the best quality possible.
